Grant Criteria

Eligibility

The Foundation provides grants only to organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, known as non-profit public charities. 

Types of  Support

The Reisert Foundation’s is fairly flexible in what it funds. It is especially interested in working with small, community based programs and priority is given to projects where its grant can make a significant impact. Over the years, the Foundation has provided funding for everything from building repairs and office equipment, to startup salaries for charitble organizations.

Limitations of Support

The Reisert Foundation does not entertain requests for:

1.Endowments.
2.Political lobbying, Political Campaigns or Voter Registration
3.Grants to individuals
4.Advertising
5.Fundraising events
6.Supporting organizations as described in section 509(a)(3) 

Geographic Location:

1. North Eastern North Carolina.
2. Mid-State Maine.
3. The New York Metropolitan Area.


Grant Amounts, Duration and Reporting Requirements

  • The average Grant ranges from $2,500 to $15,000. 
  • Each Grant is for one year.
  • The Foundation requires a written interim report within 6 months of the disbursement and a final summation within 18 months.
